Seeking references for guides on Lake Vermillion and other info

I used to fish lake vermillion every weekend and the fishing can be great. If you have never been there you will be amazed on how nice the lake is. We always stayed on the east end of the lake at Mckinley park. Early in the season the best spot i could tell you to go is right in front of Mckinley park or infont of stunts bay but you cant go into stunts bay because that is where they spawn. It has been a few years since i have been there but you should have some luck in those spots. Good luck. If you ever come down to the Mississippi river pool 4 stop in and check us out. you could check fishingminnesota.com, their are reports and a guide listing for Vermillion as well as other Mn lakes/areas.

I've used a 3 or 4 excellent guides on Vermilion over the past several years. Hard to recommend one over any other, but there is a list of several at http://www.lakevermilion.com/guides.html.

I would recomend garytheguide guide sevice a good friend fishes with gary every year and always had a good trip. This guy live on the water I swear he fishes aroud the clock this is all he does.

If you are staying on the East end of the Lake you should call Cliff Wagenbach. He has fished this lake for 40 years and guided it for at least 15 years and knows it better than just about anyone fishing it. When others have a tough time finding fish, Cliff almost always has a bite going someplace. His reputation is excellent. His # is (218) 753-2005
