I am in the process of remodeling a lake side cabin and want to put some walleye prints on the walls. Any ideas or suggestions on walleye prints that look good? If possible, please include name or artist and source ?

Thanks in advance for your help!!

Good question. I've been looking for walleye art myself. Hope someone can help out with a source.

Steve Miljat from the Milwaukee area is both a great guide and an excellent wildlife artist. I have seen many of his walleye prints and they are fantastic. I'm sure that you could find his phone number in the Milwaukee area.

If you can find any paintings from Larry Tople you will like them. He was the artist for In-Fish Covers for a long time. Also check with the Walker Art Gallery in Walker,Mn. The last time I was in there they had a number of very nice walleye paintings. Good Luck, Jim

I've fished with Steve before....he's a great guy and a very talented artist. You can view some of his paintings on his website at... http://www.miljat.com/

+1 for Russ Duerksen, great website, http://www.russduerksenart.com/ and a well recognized SD artist. I show next to him at the Warrens WI Cranberry Fest, and he does some amazing things with a flat canvas and a paintbrush.

I was looking for the same thing a couple years ago and here is what I came up with for artists that have prints featuring walleyes in them. (in no particular order you should be able to search the net for them)

Paul Fenwick "Walleyes and Shiners"
Chris Harman "Looking Up","Feeding Frenzy","Coming at You","Striking Walleye","The Chase"
Al Agnew "Golden Opportunity Walleye"
Curtis Atwater "Early Season Walleye","Opening Day Honeyhole"
Ron Gruenstern "Winnebago Walleye"
Mark Susinno "Dancin a Jig-Walley"
Mark Anderson "Rock Bottom Walleye"
Randy McGovern "Eye Candy"
Carl Knuth "Walleye AFter Minnows
Virgil Beck "School of Walleyes","Eyes of North Americas"
Rick Morkel "Deep Water Walleyes"
Terry Doughty "Walleye in the Wood","Reef Runners","Castle Rock Walleye","River Queen Walleye","Twilight Strike Walleye","Fishing the Falls","Walleyes on the Rocks"

Les Kouba (in addition to his "Darkhouse Spearing" trilogy featuring Northern Pike he did one with Bud Grant called "Opening Day on Lake Mille Lacs" Les Kouba is probably the most well known of all of those artists and he also did the artwork on the highly collectible Schmidt beer wildlife series that adorned the companies beer cans back in the 70's.

My favorate is Terry Doughty. I own "walleyes on the Rocks, and "Castle Rock Walleyes" by him. He has a lot of outdoor prints from deer, birds, and all freshwater fish species.

Thanks for the continued suggestions, but the original question (that started this thread) was from April of 2000. My lakeside cabin remodeling has been done for about 10 years.

As long as the post is back, I gotta ask: What prints did you end up hanging on your walls?
