I want to take my dad fishing in Breast Bay. Does anybody know if the Sterling launch is open and if the fishing is getting good in there?

I believe the Sterling ramp is closed for the whole season. The park is being remodeled and they have closed most of it down to the public.
Is there another place close by to put in??
You can launch at the Bolles Harbor DNR launch. It is off exit 11 on I 75 south. That's four miles south of the exit for Sterling state park

According the the Michigan DNR website, Sterling State Park is open for camping, but the beach and boat ramp all closed for the entire season. It's not too far to lauch at Bolles Harbor DNR site, but my guess is that place will become very crowded on weekends. Good luck and let us know how you do.
