Just wondering if anybody was casting for them yet? I know right around the 50 degree mark we had some success of casting deries and gold/silver nuggets.

Just wondering

It's still a little early to cast erie dearies/harnesses with worms, but it's worth a try. I usually like to wait until the water temps at least hit the mid-upper 50's. If you really want to cast, try casting or drifting twister tails. I have had good look at this time of the year with walleye while casting twisters especially around reefs. One night in the middle of May about 4 years ago we caught 14 walleye off Ruggles between 3 of us casting white twisters. All of the fish were caught between 7:30-9:00! We fished the next 4-5 evenings and caught 2-3 fish each night.

Where off ruggles were you fishing ... depth or #'s anything? I'd like to give that program a try.

Thanks

That was a few years ago. We were actually using the twisters for smallmouth when we hit the walleye. We were in 18-24 ft of water off the park. Unfortunately, I don't have the gps #s.
