I am so sick of hearing the Bull from guys like Coe Vieanna Dave & Hi-Way!!! The fishing is slow and as you can tell (so is their buissness)I.E Walleye.Com- The only real bite right now that is worth anyones time is the perch. The walleye have lock jaw! You will know when the fishing picks up, because people like (air-wave) will have something better to do besides sit in front of their computer all day!! Go for the Perch or wait a few more weeks... By the way co-Banna dave!! That limit you caught the other day was sheephead not Walleye!!!

The walleye fishing is slow but if you know how to fish for them and where to goyou would be able to catch them. They are catching limits in the western basin along the shipping channel from Saturday thru Tuesday. I was not out there, because I was fishing a tourney this weekend (Michigan Walleye Tour) but I have many reliable sources. You must be fishing the wrong place. Just because you are not catching many doesn't mean others aren't. Before jumping the gun and bashing people you should have all the facts straight. If you were a man you would of at least signed your post wimps stay anonymous.

I've been going to Lake Erie for quite a few years and I almost always check with Don at Highway Bait. Don is a really good guy and would never lead anyone wrong on purpose.Just this week there have been alot of walleye being caught on Lake Erie. I guess what I'm trying to say is,I am so sick of hearing guys complain that they can't catch anything but perch! Anybody can catch perch on Lake Erie! By the way Inspecter Gadget!!Real fisherman are cathing walleye right now but you better stick with the perch because your obviously not a real fisherman!!!!!!

Do you really wait until you get a "hot" on-line report before venturing out? Why not just go and be the first to experience it when it does turn on?
Tom (mich) .. Great reply! I think of it as "a Day Late & a Dollar Short" .. when you rely on others reports when a consistant bite is NOT on :-)
I have a few Central Ohio friends who make the 150 mile one way trip at the drop of the hat when the weather is fit, just to use their own heads & to experience a Hot-Bite of their own makin' :-)

Hey Gatget and Bill T if you don't want to believe me thats fine. I don't care but I don't appreciate being called a liar just because you can't get em. Were out here on this Lake every week till up to Dec. last year. We just may know alittle something. If I don't get em I say so. If I do I like to share that info. I'll gladly back up any thing I say with proof. And believe me I have many things to do besides sit here and defend myself against guys like you but SOME do appreciate OUR efforts to keep you informed.

thats commendable and all but take a step back and look what ya have to go through to get fish in the box nowadays. Thats crazy. The fishing just sucks right now. A fishin trip nowadays has to be the equivilant of a space shuttle mission to be sucessfull. Everytime an average Joe points out how much the fishing has dramatically slowed over the years all the experts jump them with ..look I ran 150 miles....employed precision techniques...used my state of the art electronics...etc and I cought em? Your just not adapting! Well thats great and I'm one of them but it sure is hard for an averge guy to take his kid out and catch a fish nowadays. okok now all you guys can start your bashing.

I probably shouldn't even waste the time typing this, but the FACT is the bite in the extreme west end has steadily picked up since last Friday. Fish have been from near West Sister to the Toledo Shipping channel. Over the weekend, most of the fish that were caught were by drifters on bottom bouncers on harnesses. As the weather stabilizes and warms, they'll come up some and be caught by guys casting and trolling the suspended fish. Catches of 15 to the low 20s were the norm for the drift charters running from Wild Wings over the weekend. Catches improved Mon and Tues. And yes the CoeVanna boats have done well the last few days. There were also some decent reports from Michigan waters. Good Luck to All,
Steve Carlson

AIRWAVE, DON'T EVEN BOTHER, THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN READING YOUR REPORTS FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS APPRECIATE YOUR INFO. I KNOW I DO. IF IT WASNT FOR GUYS LIKE YOU, US WEEKEND WARRIORS WOULD BE CONSTANTLY SCRATCHING OUR HEADS. SO PLEASE DONT STOP POSTING BECAUSE OF WINNERS WHO DONT WANT TO MAKE THE INVESTMENT IN TIME AND MONEY TO BE ABLE TO CATCH THESE CLEAR WATER FINICKY EYES,I, LIKE MANY OTHERS ONLY GET ONE TRY A WEEK.ONCE AGAIN, THANKS TO AIRWAVE, FREEBYRD, DEN AND ANY ONE ELSE I MAY HAVE FORGOT FOR THE INFORMATIVE AND HONEST POSTS. IF I COULDNT WORK AND FISH, MIGHT AS WELL BURY ME. TIGHT LINES, EYE PROBLEM.

went out with my friend yesterday out of his 12 foot aluminum north of kelleys and we just started casting harnesses and picked up 6 walleye. it dont take state of the art electronics and a nice boat, you just gotta go out and try and not be a follower.

Went out yesterday for the first time since April 8th. I fished just north of A-can in 27-29ft of water. Went out at 6pm and we picked up 2 in the first hour in the clean water. then after that nothing. The trip was more for exploring b/c I havent fished much at all (due to work) The water was very clean out there and it should clean up if the winds stay out of the west. Fish were on the bottom. Will be out everyday Saturday-Monday. May try the channel next.

Seems to me like there are a fair share of "Doubting Thomas'" that visit this message board for the sole reason of arguing with the remarks of others. Here's an idea... Shut Up and Fish. If you happen to have a good day on the water Right On... Post your info to help others out... If not, don't call those who do catch fish liars... This website is supposed to be way to share info and tips with other anglers, and is not a "forum" for figuring out who is lying and who is not. Anyone who is familiar with fishing knows you can knock 'em dead on day and get stoned the next day... That's why its Fishing and not Catching
Real As Ever,
Hartdaddy
