Was perching today by the mouth of the crooked river. The bite was pretty good! Heard a lot traffic on the radio from people catching eyes. Would anyone mind letting me in on where and how deep? Was thinking of going out on Monday.
Thank you for any info.

It should work pretty much anywhere out of Edgewater; 15'- 35'. Magic lure; 3" Husky Jerk; 75' off the boards; troll 1.2 - 1.8 mph. Color don't realy metter; just get that lure.

Good luck.

Fished out of edge water today for walleyes and caught 2 both 9.5lbers.Both caught on Little Rippers, one on leadcore and the other on a Deep little Ripper.Ran 3"Husky Jerks with no luck, also lost 2 big fish, and caught alot of sheephead. All fish caught between 30'36' in front of the flywing W condo's apartments whatever they r.TightLines,Kdog

Hey, Kdog -- What time of day were you catching them? Was that a night time run? Seems like most of the Central Basin action reported to date has been shallow and at night.

Tim,
Started fishing at 6:00 and fished till about 11:30.Marked alot of BIG hooks on my Lowrance which i interpeted as walleyes and catching the 2 big girls pretty much satisfied me.The one we lost i never seen but she stayed deep and was shaking her head hard so im pretty sure she was another big walleye.Got them all on Deep little Rippers anywhere from 60-100 ft back on boards. Also one went on leadcore with a shallow Little Ripper.Chrome and blue seemed to be the best color. We also caught about 10 sheephead there but the walleyes are definately there, kinda weird that we didnt hookup with any smaller ones though,,,but im not complaining, lol.Wouldnt mind trying the same area at nite.GoodLuck,Kdog(KeithWalters)

Thanks for the details, Kdog! I had planned to go out today, but the lightening and thunder scared me off the water today. Worked on the trailer and did landscaping instead ... boring! Stormy weather is predicted for the rest of the week ... the week I took vacation, of course! If you get back out there, tell us how you did, and if I get out sometime this week I will do the same.

Tim,No problem guy,i normally dont fish this area so it was a new experience for me,,,,not use to fishing so close to shore when at Erie unless im smallie fishing.Hopefully the weather will give you a break and you can give it a shot,,,,,with the boat traffic there it mite be better during the week or especially at nite.I really dont plan on going back up there,,i have a tourney this weekend but if i do i'll post my results.TightLines,Kdog

When speaking of the little rippers and husky jerks, I assume these are the regular models, not the deep runners and your getting these fish in the top 15' of water? I'm looking at giving it a shot Thursday night weather permitting.

Gilligan,
I was useing the Deep Little Rippers(deep diving model)60-90 back off boards,,,,,,,and with leadcore Little Rippers(shallow diving Model).Dont confuse these with Reefrunners and Ripsticks the deep and shallow bigger bait made by the same company.Yes they were caught in the top 15'of water with alot of arches showing up on the lcd up high as well.Goodluck and lets hear how you did if you get out.TightLines,Kdog
