Has anyone used a 50khz transducer with their x-85? I believe it has a 36 degree cone angle. How about the resolution compared to the standard 192khz transducer? I am thinking of its use for a shallow body of water (ave depth around 10-15 feet)Any information would be appresicated. Thanks in advance.

I have been using the 50 khz trnsducer with my LMS 350's. The detail is not as good as the 192 khz in shallow water but the 50 khz can be used to pick out larger fish in schools of smaller fish or bait fish while using another 192 khz unit. All it takes is a little fine tuning. personally I would not purchase another 50 khz. but instead get another high end graph that doesn't operate at 192 khz, like the Pinpoint units. Good luck.

Good for really deep seperation, resolution,
definition.
I am pretty sure the standard 50Khz is a narrower cone than the 192, however.
