Hi,
We was Trolling 1 mile Southeast of B can and almost hit alog about 30 ft long and 18" in dia.This Log was floating with the top at water level.The is impossible to see until you are right on top of it.Any one fishing in that area should beware.The current flows to the east so it should be moving that way.

prolly would have been a good idea to broadcast your find on chanel 68 and 70

Hi,
Didn't have a radio.Did contact Coastguard Last night.With the Calm winds this morning I hope they will remove it today.It almost looked like a Telephone Pole.

Thanks for the warning. Another good reason you should have a radio on board.

Reminds me of the incident a few years back when a freighter lost a load of telephone poles and they were a hazard all summer long. Does anyone else remember that?

Friend hit an 8-foot log going into wild wings marina Sunday. Now has a vibration above 1500 rpm.....
