Easy limits of 14-16 in. fish with many slot (17-26 in.) releases.
Fished the north shore from Stoney to Winnie Dam through Tamarack Bay.
Different areas turned on depending on wind direction but most consistent bite was in the newly emerging cabbage in Tamarack Bay and the depression in front of Three Sisters, both in 5-6 feet. Shiners were stacked in the shallows in these locations as were the fish. Largest fish were taken in 5-6 feet. Jigs and shiners were the ticket-color wasn't too important but green, not chart., was most productive. Work the jigs hard with frequent pauses and drops. Most were hitting on the drop rather than drag or swim. There were good perch on Stoney point(8-12 in.), average to small on Tamarack point(6-10), average at Bowens and Farley creek, largest perch were in Tamarack Bay and Three Sisters area (10-13). 20 perch limits averaged 12 pounds from the bay.
