Talked to the guys up at LS last night---will give you a more
complete report once I sit down with them---but here is what I know
now---They didn't get the 12" of rain that LOWoods got---but still haven't
been out of their raingear for four days.....they are catching lots of
15-18" fish--males likely, in the shallow warmer water....mostly in Sawmill
and Broad and Sunlite(B&S). Windy points work too. He said there are tons of boats--mainly
anchored and pitching jigs in the Wenesaga, Sawmill, and B&S.....but haven't
heard of many big fish---biggest they have had is 26" so far.....seems like
post spawn rest time....so next couple weeks should improve alot. The bait
at the resorts consists of small fatheads...larger minnows in Ear Falls at the baitshop.
The guys have found the eyes deeper than other years, and did get some fish on spinners in B&S.
More later...they will be home in a couple days if the roads improve.
