Ever been nagged by your wife or girlfriend, to not go fishing so much (or boyfriend, if you are a fisherwoman) ? Well, how about a Walleye Central dating service for all of us single anglers? What would be better than meeting someone of the opposite sex who loves to fish as much as you do?
What the heck, it would be interesting to say the least? What do you think?

Geez Prime I feel almost obligated to reply here, especially since I'm one of the few (I think) who visit/post here on W/C boards from the female fishermen ranks. Anyway, I've seen others post the same idea over the years and it's something I think that has never flown, nor been paid much attention at all too.
Most probable reasons it wouldn't fly in long run are 1) there are too few women who would ever respond (you can think up many reasons for that), and 2) it's far too public a place (or let's say of an occasional higher caliber) that other's would want to respond to.
i.e. I read this board, but I don't read the "Singles want ads" in the papers.
Now don't take my humble little opinion as harsh criticism or any such thing! I will instead offer you the small insight that you can get to know single female fishermen (like me) through the web, boards, email, chats, tournies, and even at the ramps! Look up towards the moon and say "I know she's out there and one day..."
she's out there, hehehe...probably starboard

"Probably Starboard"...heheh That was a good one Sheila.
You stated that very well. Heck, I was just going to tell him to "Shut Up and Fish", but refrained from doing so. :-)
Hey Prime, Sheila is right. That subject will not fly here for the reasons she stated. Just look for us on the water and don't be shy, just say Hi! We all have something in common when we're on the water, so conversation is never a problem! Good luck in your search for your gal. I'm sure she is out there. Just think of the single female angler, as elusive as the walleye... but if your good, you will land her. Just don't put her on your wall! :7

I can almost see it now: Single male looking for female for discrete weekend activities. She must love to handle big nightcrawlers and clean and cook fish. Preferably, she'll be a boat owner with GPS, VHF radio, depth finder, downriggers, side-planers and plenty of gear she'd be willing to share. Must enjoy cold, windy, rainy mornings bouncing around on a big lake in search of walleyes. She should expect long hours of silence while I concentrate on working an underwater hump. She should be filthy rich, so I can quit my job and still overspend on every new gadget that comes out. Must have first hand knowledge on enticing post-spawn walleyes into the net. Expertise at trolling and jigging a plus but will consider a drifter, as well. Looks are not important, but an ability to tie a good knot certainly is. Serious enquiries, only.
PS Please send picture of your boat.

I must admit, Wall Nut, that has to be the most honest approach I've ever seen. Honest enough that any woman meeting the requirements is going to run like h*** in the other direction :-)

I have the same situation as Johnwaleye,Yes it is a dream come true,I coulden't ask for a better partner,This lady is no slouch when it comes to fishing,Any women who can get up at 3:30 in the morning, pack us a lunch and spend 10 hours pounding the water gets my vote, and she's not bad at backing the boat in eather...
