I've got a Ranger Fisherman. Can someone tell me the best rod holders to use. I want the kind that are portabel and that you can put on and take off the rails. Who makes these.

Also .. can anyone tell me if the folks who make snap weights have a website.

Thanks for your help

If you've got the rails on the boat, I wouldn't choose anything but RAM rodholders, the newer (Roach endorsed) version! I've got 8 on my 620 and they're the best by far. They also give you the option of spinning rods versus just casting and the ability to open the hatches on your storage areas because they sit higher in the mount. Visit the Ram website and see for yourself.

I have a 617 with the rails. Are the mounts easy to remove or are they more permanent?

Mounts stay on, but actual holders pull out. Take a look at the website and you'll see what I mean. You can call me if you have any questions. (715)829-4742.
