Just got back from Pueblo. My sons and I fished all day Wensday. It was slow but we still caught a few fish. We set up on the end of the sailbord beach where the flats end at several rocky points. We caught three Eye's under the minimum, 11 bass and one nice wiper. A whistler jig and leech caught the eye's and Zara Spook puppy caught everything else. The fish were definately looking up! Nothing was working till we tried the Spooks. The Wiper was about four lbs. The wind just exploded about 5:30 and flattened our tent, so we ended up staying at the Best Western there in Pueblo West. I saw someone out in a Lund right in front of us hovering in about 20 feet of water. It looked like they were jigging and catching lots of small fish?

Hey Neal,

Was that you with the red Chevy Pick-up at that point in the morning? I was out there Wed. for a few hours, but caught most of my fish south west of you about a 1/4 mile out on the drop off where 15 feet drops to 60feet. I was that nut going in circles and every time I would come up from the deep to shallow I would hit a fish and again when I went shallow to deep. All on Bottom bouncers and spinners.

Hey Art, I got there about 11:00 AM Wensday and fished till the weather drove me off about 5:30. I had planned to fish a half day on Thursday also, but my kids were having so much fun at the hotel pool we never made it back to the lake.

I was in my Blue Silverado. I parked right on top of the big black hump where the little bay forms at the end of the sailboard beach.

I might of caught more Wipers but some """hole jet skier went right thru my area as I landed the first one! He had 500 yards of open beach and water but he had to go thru my little area!

Two words for ya Neal "wrist rocket". Not really but thats how it is, its no fun to just ride those buggers, they have to piss people off like no other to have fun. Course now they have to worry about the rangers since that little girl died they are goign to crack down finally, or atleast I hope so.

Anyone heading to Pueblo this weekend? This will be my last walleye trip here in Colorado. Moving back to Michigan soon. Brush Hollow has been over run by the catfisherman. So, I'm gonna try Pueblo.
