I postedearlier about sitting in sunny california,which i am. I've been watching the weather channel, and it does'nt look good. Does anyone have a weather report for sioux falls for this evening? The plane gets in about 6:30 tonite. Thanks, Rick
Big storm moving over the area - talking 6-8 inches of snow in next two days. Snowing steady all morning here in eastern Minnesota, predicted to end tomorrow!

We've got about 8 inches on the ground in Watertown and it's blowing like crazy. Supposed to get another 4 inches yet today and tomorrow.

It looks like Sioux Falls is not going to get alot (4 to 6) the snow does not have much moisture so it will be blowing around (probably) alot. And we are going to get another small systen again tommorrow night. Heh pick me up a deli dog with the works.

You may end up flying into Fargo ND.instead.
So far it has stayed south of us in Wahpeton ND, that is about 1 1/2 North of Sioux Falls on I-29.

Or maybe they will reroute you down to Dallas. We're warm, there's even a (slight)heat index today. Last I checked it was 72 with a heat index of 75. Sorry, I couldn't let this topic go without bragging. LOL!

Total sheet of ice here in NE Huskerland. Kids are falling on their butts leaving school, cars are sliding out of inclined parking spaces, and we're closing my med clinics!!! First time in over a year...

Plane Crashes in Sioux Falls City Limits

A fiery plane crash just off Interstate 29, near Southeast Technical Institute. Just after 8-o’clock tonight, a twin-engine Hope this was not Plane went down within Sioux Falls city limits.
The male pilot was taken to Sioux Valley Hospital to be checked out. Mayor Gary Hanson, who’s in Pierre, was notified about the crash. He tells KDLT News tonight that the pilot was thrown from the plane when it crashed.
Hanson says the man, who’s name is not being released injured his foot and will be okay. The pilot was the only one in the plane. It crashed in the lot just south of the highway patrol headquarters. The plane hit a parked car.
Hanson says there’s a complete task force in place to handle emergencies just like this. The mayor says so far, he’s pleased with the way crews have responded. He says they’re doing exactly what they should be doing.
