View Full Version : Western basin headboats ?
A buddy and I plan to take a headboat trip in the next few
days out of Port C./marblehead. Any recommendations?
Anyone know how the drift fishing has been? Will we be
wasting our time?
thanks!
Joe

Take lot's of crawlers. Trash fish have been bad.
Ditto on Tibbels, we fish with them a couple of times a year, if the walleye are biting we go for walleye, if the walleye are slow they will tell you and then go for perch. Actually the last time we went out with them we fished walleye first thing in the morning caught 4 and the fish turned off, we then went perching and caught 3/4 of our limit.

I would take the headboards out of PC - the bite has been in the West Sister, C can area which is a lot shorter run for the PC boats.

I agree with the rest about Tibbels. Fished out of there more times than I can remember. They have always been fair and honest, they will try harder than anyone to put you on the fish.
