I've always heard of this place on Erie but never sure of where it was.Anyone have #'s for it? Also which boat launch would be the shortest ride?

The location Dean posted is the only Sputnick i'm aware of, that's the same one you are hearing about on your VHF radio, about 4.5 miles across the MI/OH boarder line, get an Ohio liscense and head out of Breast Bay or Bolles Harbor.

This is the Sputnik people from Michigan are talking about. It is closer to Bolles Harbor than to any of the ports in Ohio. The closest port in Ohio is Anchor Point.

Most of the time this year, the walleyes in this area have been northwest of Sputnik, making them even closer to Bolles Harbor. Most of the time though , based on the talk on the radio, the fishing has been at least as good in Michigan water this year.

That is the entrance bouy to the channel.
