Got a late start (9:00am) fishing today, We began between C Can and Niagra, boated 2 decent fish in the first 10mins, and 3 more in the next 30 mins and thought it was going to be a super day, HMMM, I went up for a 2nd drift and got only 2 more. It seemed like the wind went from S-SW to North-Varible when the stopped. 4 fish were taken on Erie Dearies, Gold was best and other 3 were on mayfly rigs. There were great marks- scattered and suspended which I assumed were eyes. There was alot of baitfish up at the surface also. I think if the wind would have stayed steady and South the bite woulda kept alive, probabaly woulda helped to get out before 9 too!

Brian we have been working that area with great success the past week or so. The key is to be there early. I think the walleye are going onto the reef to feed during the night and are heading back to the deeper water as soon as the sun comes up, so we are catching them as they pass through.

Flatlander We did exactly the same thing Brian, started fishing just a little to late. Did catch 10 nice fish trolling with Dipsys. Caught all fish in a very small area on gold. Fished just a little North of C can. Good fishing.
