Hello,
I have read this lake is a wonderful Walleye lake thanks to the Knee deep club and the states stocking programs. I have read that 5-6 pounders are common. I am considering a fishing trip there in the fall. Anyone ever fish Hopatcong if so how was it? Any info is appreciated.

I would not suggest fishing on a weekend-It was a mess years ago.

Debit,
Thanks for the info. Did catch any walleye while you were there?

Never even tried-it was not known for them at that time. Lots of pickeral though. We fished mainly for bass.

Try casting zarra spooks off the points at night. Big fish are coming often. 5 to 9 # fish. JJ
