Question is... Do you think it is a nice rod? Is it something your going to have confidence in? You won't know until you try it, since you bought it before finding out if it is a good rod or not. LOL I'm sure it is a good rod. Fenwick makes a good product. Let us know how you like it after you try it out.
Good fishing to you..

I have a Fenwick Black Eagle 6' spinning rod . I bought it because it seemed to be low priced for a Fenwick rod . Under stress the handle flexes so much it feels like the reel could fall off . The reel seats fit the foot of the reel very poorly . Fenwick makes high quality rods . You get what you pay for . Hopefully the Black Eagle line has been discontinued .

Slick,
Can't say for sure on your rod. But I have been using the Fenwick HMG series for years and have found them to be an excellent rod. Just this year I am trying the Gold Wing Series. Hear they are even better. Good Fishing.

Hi,
Last season, i had the plessure of trying one of the new Techna AV rods by Fenwick. I now swear by this series, and use this rod for all my live bait rigging, jigging etc. This is the best all around rod i have ever used. It has a great action, and the cork handle is the best i've ever seen.
If any of you invest in one of these rods, i promise you you will not be dissapointed.

I can't bring myself to pay $300 for the Loomis/St Croix brands, so I use Fenwick HMG series instead.
I have about 12 of them now, and love 'em all!
