I live in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where these knives are made. I will find out how to order one for you and post tommorow. I have a Canney knife and I like it when it is sharp but it does not hold an edge well. The Leech Lake knife people are usually at the local sport shows and sharpen the knifes for free. They use a belt sander to sharpen the knife. The best part of the show used to be counting the band aids on Don Canneys hands from all the cuts he received handling the knifes. Our old Mayor like to tip a few.

i've had mine since 1996, cleaned hundreds of fish with it and only had it sharpened once.

Yep! Reeds! Was in Reeds last week, Walker MN, and they were just putting out a bunch of new ones. They looked great. I love mine!

Has anyone taken theirs to the Minnesota Sports Show to get it sharpened? Just wondering if you walked right in with a 9" knife or what you did.

Sure! We just put them in a bag you get at the door. No problem.

Actually the knives are made in Marengo Iowa. I had posted up looking for this info on how to get ahold of Don also and someone posted where they were made. Don hadn't passed at that time approximately 1 month ago. I called them and stopped by and had my knife sharpened for no charge and saw the boxes of Leech Lake knives that were being produced.

Great knife!!

Good deal. If I run into any problems I'm just going to say Stinkycat said I could bring it. ;)
