Should be a good wiper bite. Walleye will be hard to come by but
someone will manage to find them

Tex,
I'm not fishing the tourney but will be there with my son Saturday. Since I am not fishing the tourney I can tell you (and any others that read this post) what I have heard.

Some eyes being taken spooning in 15-35 feet of water. Find the shad and drop a white, pearl or chartruse spoon into the school. Heard a rumor (and saw a set-up at the Pueblo West Bait shop) of running cowbells and a crank behind it. Looks like a small school of shad being chased by a slightly bigger fish. You'll need to attach some weight to the cowbells to get it down a little deeper but it worked for me up at Glendo. I'd bet a guy from TX (I'm a native Texan too) does not know what a cowbell is so stop by the bait store and take a look. He is in P-low west between the boat dealership and the Sonic on the same side of the road. Last rumor I have heard is that bottom bouncing is producing some fish but have not heard what they are using. I plan on spending Saturday trying to figure out what they are hitting on.

Good luck. I'll be in the maroon and cream Crestiner with the Evenrude engines. Will have my son, a friend and his daughter with us. Say Hi as you pass and if I have any tips I'll flag you down.
