Thanks for the input on the vh5 hummingbird radios. How about
hand held 4 watt cb radios.Does anybody have any feedback on these,as far as distance and useability. I see on ebay they are
dirt cheap.
Don't know the Humminbird radio, so can't comment, but 4W CB radio isn't worth carrying to the checkout counter.

I'd agree with that. I have a couple of Radio Shack CB's that won't go much further than 5 city blocks. I had a cheap set of GI-Joe walkie talkies when I was a kid that worked just as good.
