Spent Labor Day weekend at The Fisheries Resort. Fishing was as good as it has been in 7 years there for walleye and crappie for this time of year. Spots we hit with sucess we're the green bouy, the sunken island in Red Gut, Moose Island, SW of Smiths Island and the Wall on the west side just before going through the narrows on the way to 3 Sisters. Minnows hit everywhere with straight lindy rigs and floater rigs, heavy jigs with pumpkinseed tails tipped with crawlers were the answer on Moose. No big walleye, just good numbers of high quality eaters and slot fish.
