Dove hunters

I just wanted to relate something that happened to us recently. For those of you that had been following the dove saga that unfolded this year in Iowa, this might interest and possibly upset you. My sister called me a couple weeks ago wanting to know how to find out who is at the other end of an email address. Of course I asked why. She had just been called by one of the Iowa Representatives to inform her that he received her email and that he voted against the dove bill as she requested. She of course had not written any email, and wondered how he got her name. At the bottom of the email it had my sister's name and phone number. I am not sure if this was a prank someone was pulling on her, or if some out of state interest (PETA) found her name in the phone book and used her name to misrepresent her. In any event, if any of you are concerned about this outside influence, the email address to the Iowa Rep. is fanbabylon@aol.com. I know I already wrote this person. Thanks.

You shouldn't be surprised if it was someone from Friends of the Animals or PETA. In the Ohio Dove bill fight, the signatures gathered by those wanting to ban dove hunting, were very suspicious. Some dead, some not registered voters, some never existed. They lost in a 70-30 vote. I should say the anti's got their arse kicked. Those folks do some pretty low down things twisting data, making things up, contradictory claims...you name it.
