Latest info I have is of last weekend 9/14 & 15, they (walleye) were still at 42.00+/- and 80.50/51 area (Geneva). Wire 300-350' back on the boards with chrome/blue TS Jr's. was the hot program.

The weekend of 9/7 & 8 the steelies where at 42.05/06 and 80.58/59 bigtime...We took 8 (and 4 eyes) before moving at 10:30AM to the above listed area...1/4 oz. Purple Scale hot n tot at 35-45' on downrigger was the hot setup...took 3 before I got P.O.'d and changed it....

I haven't been out in three weeks. Are there still walleye within 15 mi. of Ashtabula or should I just plan on stocking my freezer with perch this weekend. I'd really appreciate any walleye reports even if they are general in nature.

Fished Geneva on 9/22/02. Fished for perch most of the morning, but I had limited success. Started trolling at noon at the 57.5N and the 02W pulled four walleyes and lost two others in an hour and a half. All fish were weighed and were between 9.25-9.75 #. Best set-up was a large dipsey on 3-1/2 setting, 175 feet back on the port side with a gold back yellow and green Pirate Spoon. I was trolling with 20# Fireline at 2.2-2.5 mph. Good marks at 55 feet. Also, hooked and landed several steelhead.

Yes the GPS numbers listed are correct. Did you fish this past weekend and how did you fair?

Yes I did fish 9/29 but I went out of Vermillion the fishing was good.
Lots of fish and bait. fish were in the top 30 ft. I guess the fish are still around Ashtabula and Geneva so I will be giving that area a try.If you get out please let me know how you do, THANKS
