Slow, very, very slow, particularly the day bite, and it's getting pretty cold at night! Northerns started hitting very aggressively this morning, so hopefully the walleyes will follow suit. With the few walleyes that have been harvested so far, there must be a lot left in the lake - if they only decide to cooperate!

Small world. I'm staying at Brindley's, too - with a group of guys mostly from Iowa - in the Oak Ridge House. Ought to be an interesting couple of days, depending on the outcome of the Husker/Cyclone game. Most of my buddies will be arriving before me. I won't get there until sometime on Sunday. Good chance we'll run into each other. Hope so. Perhaps you'll be able to recognize me as the guy with the stringer of walleyes. We did pretty well last year.
