Fished the Columbia River last week in the Umatilla area. Caught some nice fish, three 10s and several in the 22" to 26" range brought to the boat. All the big fish were released by the way.
Would not call the bite red hot but like I said, we did catch some fish. However, I hope once the millions of shad smolt get flushed, the fishing will improve. Now if we can just keep the stinking Steelhead off the lines, things will be great!!!
