Anyone compared the SJR-721 (IMG) to the walleye series WJR741S?
My take (from what I have read here) is that the walleye series has the perferred reel seat and handle. I have the 721 and have noted that the reel seat fit is odd and that your thumb and index finger are on the reel seat plastic frame, not on the cork like the walleye series.
Loomis's customer service indicated that the walleye series had the handle front cork shortened to allow one to put their finger on the rod for greater "feel". They also told me that the blank was a blend of a IMX and GL3. In addition, I was told that they had acknowledged negative feed back about the 721 handle which in their eyes was a premium handle designed by G. Loomis. In the future they, will be going back to the basic Fuji reel seat. (at least that is what I was told)
Seem like I recall a fellow by the name of Jeremy I think?, posting that he took back the walleye series in favor of the IMX 721 as he preferred the blank.
