I have a Ranger 620 with a 350 on the console. I want to add a stand alone GPS mapping unit as well as a compass. There doesn't seem to be any real good place to put these. Wondering what others who have a 620 have done. Thanks in advance for the help.

I put my GPS on the passanger dash and the compass beside the fish finder. The only problem is marking gps locations from drivers seat,it is a long streched. In General it is not a bad setup. good luck

Try mounting a RAM mount on top of the console behind the windshield. You will have to take of the windshield to mount it. I don't know how big your stand alone is, but I have my X85 mounted that way. The compass can go on the gunnel just in front of the console. Keep it away from the electronics. They have magnets in them for the speakers.

I rigged a 619 this fall and after spending a lot of time considering where to put the GPS module, I removed one of the round access panels that are located at the rear, one on each side, siliconed the GPS module to the cover in re-installed the cover. THe module it out of sight and works fine.
