Headed out of here North a couple hours before light. Drizzling rain, windy, weekday, never got above 40 degrees and I figured I would have the whole lake to myself. Wrong!:-) Already 2 boats anchored where I was gonna fish before good light. Whats with these simpletons that live and breath, to go out in natures gloomiest days just to get a couple of eyes?:-) I eventually caught 2 keeps to grease the skillet. And most of the others got a couple a piece. Half a dozen or 8 showed up on the lake before I left out. Gotta give it to em, They Love To Fish! :-) P.S. Saugers are starting to be caught below Hannibal Dam. Not lots, but enough to keep you interested. Tappan Lake 51degrees, River hanging around 58-60 degrees.

Russ:
Are you getting them on blades or jig/minnow? Don't worry I don't get down there enough to take your spot--maybe once or twice before ice--got too many debts to pay.

Mostly Blades brw, doesnt hurt to have a deadstick with minnow on either. Best places are the bridges, 2nd preferredly. Though talked to a local that does well trolling along riprap with shad-raps. Color isnt essential as far as Im concerned. Tappans a hard place to fill your freezer.:-) Somewhere the first of Nov. they start suckin the water out, so dont wait long. Good Luck!:-)

Great bountyhunter! Piedmonts producing from what I gather. Jim Corey was supposed to go there today also. What was the hot baits there? Heard anything of Clendening. It was around this time last year the state record was caught. 12.83lb. I believe. But a month or two later it was broke with a fish 12.84lb. out of Alum Creek. Tom's sittin up on HPD with lock-jaw eh? :-) He better save us a few for winter. Nice place to be when it gets real cold. HPD looks like the Spanish Armada invades it when the bites on.:-) Good to hear from ya, might see ya up at Piedmont next week if your there.
