i have been searhing for a place to stay in ohae in s.d.
am i missing something, it seams as though the resorts out there do not have their own docking facilities. therefore, you have to rent a dock space (if you can find one).
also, we need a clean place to stay, our son has asthma.

can anyone give us some solid information on where to stay there this summer?

what other things are there to do for the youngsters?

thanks in advance

In the Gettysbury area both Bob's Resort and West Whitlocks have their own ramps close to the resorts. Bob's has a new motel and set of cabins. I do not know of any place where you can keep your boat in the water in the area!

If you are considering the Mobridge area of Oahe, you can call Bridge City Bait and Marina. This area is great and has nice cabins to stay in. Newer cabins, very clean housekeeping type. Boat docks at the marina, right there with the cabins. Two boat ramps located VERY close, one to the north and one to the south kept by the Corp of Engineers. A fish cleaning station within a 1/4 mile.
Phone number is 1-605-845-3132. Either Janice, Jerry or Doug will take your call. I have been going there for the past 14 years, well worth the call! Good luck.

Scott.

PS, you can keep your boat in the water the whole time at Bridge City Marina. Gas on the water as well, bait shop/ tackle shop/ C-Store at the marina, so no need to run to town in the morning.
Good luck in your quest!

Scott.

Type in www.tonydean.com - Light House Point has a web ad. on that site. I have eaten there, but have not stayed. I have stayed at a resort down the point from there but you connot leave a boat in the water. The fishing was very good.
The site also explains the new Ohae regulations - I think I will be there the first part of June.
