Something occurred to me that may be valuable to people in the market for a new boat. Try to get out and look at the same or similar hulls that are at least 5-6 years old. Doing so can be a real eye opener. Naturally, how the boat was maintained will have a lot to do with how it will look - but getting to see a few may help confirm your decision or change your mind all together.
I have the good fortune of getting to see a number of used boats because I travel with my job. I've been scouring the internet looking for the right boat. It's been my experience that some of
the high end boats touted here as being "the ultimate" do not age well.
It's like the old adage that says "looking at the mother in law can give you some insight as to what you're getting in a bride".
As I mentioned - it's been a real eye opener. This is intended as food for thought.
