I was trolling gold tost and t-stick jrs 45-60 back @ 1.7mph. Other boats were doing well on different lure running 10 ft down.

Winds will be too much for me tommorow (20-30mph), will try again next weekend and I may even take another day off work because there's not much time until ice.

Godd luck if you get out.

What are the wind and wave forecast over there for Friday? What size boat do you have and where have you been launching?

I wouldn't mine fishing the mich side of erie this week (12/1) also but not sure about launching boat on a slippery ramp? I have posi and good traction but don't have four wheel drive. The thoughts of my truck floating at the ramp isn't a pleasant one. How has your past experiences been there guys? Have any open seat in a 16 footer or willing to ride with someone else also. like to here from ya

I have a Lund 1900 SE and I launch at Bolles harbour. Bolles in off of the LaPlessaince exit (about exit #13 on I-75).

These reports are driving me crazy and breaking my heart at the same time. I live 15 minutes away from bolles harbor and haven't made it out in over a month. Everytime I think I can get out the winds are either too strong, case in point this entire weekend, or it's been raining. If I can ever get out before ice sets in I'm there! Have never gone out this late before, but with the reports I've read here I'll sure try. Will report if I make it out. New to this board 2-3 weeks now. Has quickly become my favorite.

i've been launching out of bolles for about 4yrs or so now for winter time fishing. as long as the ramp isn't covered in snow/ice you shouldn't have a problem. (it's not a smooth surface ramp)it's usually when the ice is to thick to break at the ramp that shuts down the fishing for the season....
hope that helps

Hi,
There is protection in the bay from west and northwest winds .However you have to launch at Boles Harbor and go west.It might be a rough ride to the bay.It is also very shallow to the west coming out of Boles Harbor .Follow the channel bouys out before you turn.

Carry a bucket of rock salt in your veh, also put some weight in the back of your veh. This should solve your problem. Good luck!
