View Full Version : lake poinsett ice conditions and fishing report
I was thinking about heading up there in two weeks and was wondering what the ice conditions were like and if anyone was catching anything. Thanks in advance for your help.
I don't know about poinsett, but I know there's been a few shacks on Pelican and Kampeska in the last few days. Poinsett usually forms ice slower than those two lakes do. I wouldn't count on any real good ice right now, but that's an experienced guess, you should check with Lakeview Resort on the lake before you go. If the weather stays warm though, whatever is there could be gone soon.

I don't know how thick the ice is on Poinsett, but I know that there are a few shacks on the northeast corner of the lake. I fished Brush lake and the ice was seven inches thick.
Forecasting upper 40's for today. Kiss the ice goodbye. :D
