How long of a drive from Cleveland to Lake of the Woods ? Is it worth the trip ? Any guide service that anyone would recommend ?

I can tell you it's about 12 hours to Minneapolis and another 5 to LOW. (Was in Cleveland on 9-11 and had to drive home in a rental car)The fishing is definately red hot right now. Lots of smaller ones with plenty of good eater fish mixed in and the occasional big fish each day. I've been out 4 days in the last two weeks and have averaged 100 fish a day sun up to sun down. Is the drive worth it? Only you can answer that. I know I'm heading up for another 4 days next week....

I think the best guide is Rodney Donat at Bayview Lodge. I recommend staying there too

WOW i have had my share of 100 fish days buts its always walleye and sauger and its sauger at least 2 to 1 never dreamed of a 100 walleye day, man thats great.
