Does any body have a report of what is happening on the saginaw?

Jrs.
Fished the Saginaw 2 times last week, Wednesday/Thursday. Caught fish both times, one almost 5 pounds. Thicker ice Wednesday was down by Wicks boat launch 3 to 4 inches, thinner near middle. Thinner ice Thursday up near the Temple Theater, 2 to 3 inches. The ice has been slowly getting honey combed/softer these last 2 days. I personally would stay off till the next hard freeze.
Capt. Dan, Anything going on out on the Bay at all?

Bo.
I sent a new report to Franks but they haven't posted it yet. They are both in the process of changing web masters, and trying to list all their store merchandise on their new secure one-line store. Anyway, I've been by the bay (state park) the last couple days. There is still some ice from the lagoon on an angle to Nayanquin Point. I'm guessing its not safe though. Seems the ice has been blowing in and out at the park. One day its as far as you can see, the next open water. The Saginaw River is not safe anymore, Both ship traffic and water on the ice has lots of areas open or near open. The Tittabawassee has opened up as well, and is full of ice floes. I was going to fish it today, but the bridge at Gordonville backed the ice up into and past the launching area last night. My 3rd shift Midland Police informant told me this. My Dow Spillway informant tells me the spillway area is clean and free of ice, but still snake belly low.

Capt. Dan, Thanks alot for the report. I've been wanting to come up but might as well wait. Hopefully, we'll have ice soon. Thanks again!
