The national championships are planned for the Quad Cities in Illinois and on the Mississippi River. Don't recall specifically when in September. I'm sure someone will respond.

I heard Ranger is no longer a sponsor is that true? If not what are you going to give away as the grand prize?

Could you explain more about the current relationship between Ranger and Team Walleye please? I had heard the same thing, that Ranger was no longer involved. Is it only through the 2001 Championship? What boat prize will be offered at the 2001 Championship specifically? What commitment is there between Ranger and Team Walleye for 2002? Thanks for the clarification.

My info came from a Ranger rep. and I would be surprised if it were untrue, but I can check again at our next sport show.

What about the teams that won boats last year and can't get them because of the motor situation? Will they ever see their prize???

For all those in this rumor mill, USFA has a valid contract with Ranger Boat Company until the end of 2002. End of Rumor. Anyone wishing to let us know the Ranger Reps name, we will get the rumor mill stopped.

We have been talking with the boat winners, so there is no secret here. The certificates they received are valid for the boats and trailers from Ranger. All they have to do is submit them and they will be manufacturered and delivered. We have already sent the electronics to the winners.
The motors are another story. We are caught up, as everyone else is, in the OMC bankruptcy. We paid for the motors and trolling motors via contract and they never shipped them. We have to await the bankruptcy courts actions. We do feel bad about the situation, but it was not our doing. After nine years of straight shooting, I hope everyone understands. This situation will be taken care of.
