fished pymy yesterday, a good 6 to 8 inchs of ice where we were, there were 4 of us JB got 3 i think with 1 legal one and i got 1 small one and we had a few bites on tip ups but all in all real slow, i drove all around the lake and talked to several guys on both ends of the lake and it seems the little action we had was more than anywhere else?? just a slow day i guess, anybody else reading this were you there how,d ya do, heading back up thursday for 3 days than we,ll get to at least try some different spots and see whats going on, the local paper said that tuttle point and manning was where the action was but i talked to 2 guys who were at both places with 1 perch to show for it so i don,t know, even stopped at poffs and he said he wasn,t hearing much at all.

Shadowman, I fished directly out from the beach between Tuttle Pt.and Manning near the bar about 8-10 feet of water. Then tried near the creek channel in 14-15 feet. I used both tip-ups and jigged with no success. Fished with a nice gentleman from Greenville, named Bob. There were atleast a dozen people out with lots of moving around, so I think their success may be similar. Conditions were far from ideal with blowing snow all day. The ice was close to 10" with a lot of snow on top that made dragging a sled pretty tough. If I learned anything today, I learned I need to start taking less "stuff" with me.

Lou
i feel your pain bud, i froze my tush off out there but at least this next trip i,ll have access to a shanty, its a must if on a day like yesterday you want to stay all day, just to warm up once in awhile and than get back out there pounding the ice, at least it was one thing yesterday ( consistant ) i wouldn,t mind hearing from someone who might have done a little better than the rest of us yesterday that will give me something to think about till thursday anyways, talk to ya later.

I fished Pymatuning yesterday off the south end of the causeway. Caught 5 short ones and some perch all on spoons. Pretty tough day all in all. Talked to some guys who fished off Poplar Grove, they did not do well either. Going to plug away later this week when the heat wave arrives!!!

If I told you that I'd have to kill you! LOL! Anyway one of them was a gold Toms Tiny Teaser 1/4 oz. tipped with a minnow head which is now manufatured by Lindy. Can't think of the new name off the top of my head. Gateway has them they're molded to look like minnows. 1/4 oz. White Pimple with a red head also tipped. Got them in 15' FOW. Very light bites on the hold. Missed probably 6 fish on the way up.
Shadowman,
If you want you can email me at laspapers@aol.com. Would like to talk to you on a phone sometime soon. I'm not into typing too much...
