I am using the big boards for the first time,(collasible type. The problem is they pull behind the boat to far, is there a way to get them to pull out more?

The first thing that comes to mind is make sure they are in the uncolapsed or expanded mode. :-)
Sorry couldn't resist that.
The boards are going to run somewhat back as they go out. This depends somewhat on if you are running with the waves or against them too.
It may also depend on where you have the mast mounted. the further back the mast is the further back the boards will appear to be running too.
All of this leads to the fact that the boards do run back between a 30 and 45 degree angle off the mast. A tripple ski may help this a little though.
Just remember to expand the boards before putting them in the water....Just joking with you,,,:-)

Many boards also have multiple attachment points, like a length of chain where you can attach to any of the links. Try clipping a little further to the back. Experiment until you find the "sweet link".
Also, make sure you keep the planer line out of the water. That will create more drag and cause the board to run further back. Mount your mast on the bow for more height. And vary your speed.
