Can any of you "Toothy Critter" fishermen hook this "good ole boy Redneck" up with a tackle shop that sells Sparkle Tail crankbaits? These baits are made by Eppinger and packaged under the name of Red Eye Tackle. Eppinger will sell them to me for almost twice the amount Bass Pro Shop asks and I think that's a bit pricey. I need two each of chrome/black, chartruese and perch in the old pattern. Bass Pro doesn't carry two of these colors.
These are pretty good crankbaits for early and late largemouth fishing in my area.

I know fleet farm in west bend had them, unknown if they still do, don't know where you are from. I can check again if you can't find any.

I'm right on the Virginia/North Carolina border. I was hoping someone might know of a tackle shop that would be interested in mail order business. Thanks for responding.

The last time I was in "The Sportsman" in Appleton Wis. they had a lot of Sparkletails. They may be interested in mailing some to you. Email me for a telephone number. It doesn't hurt to ask.
Tews Sport Shop (Oshkosh) sponsers the "winnebagowalleyes" website. You can find contact info, specials etc. at that site.

Was at an estate auction last week where they sold a flat of approx. 25 Sparkletails for $25. I never use them so didn't bid on them. First time I ever saw bobbers sell by the 5gal bucket. I did pick up a big bunch of Daredevles mostly in smaller sizes if you want some of those.

Hi Guyz,

I know this is kinda an old post but, I thought someone might find these interesting. I ran across some Sparkle Tail look-alikes out of China. I just registered here and I don't know if it's considered kosher to post links... So, I'll do it this way, since a link could become obsolete at any time...

They have two colors in these lures. Green holo and purple holo.
It can take over a month to receive items from China.
Also, be advised that alot of lures from china are made of clear ABS plastic. You don't want to leave them laying in the hot sun. They will melt if they get too hot.
There is basically no way of knowing what type of plastic any given lure from China is made of. Also, you can't be sure of their action or if they run true.
I know, I know, why do you want to buy out of China? Well, most of the lures you see in the stores are marked Made In China. These are going for 5 for $4.99 and free shipping (currently 1/21/12)

If I was an avid user of Sparkle Tails, I sure would try some.
They could turn out to have an awesome action.

Cheers, Daryl
