View Full Version : "NEED HELP" ( GPS)
I am looking at getting a GPS, had no experience with them and dont know what I need. I will probably only use it to fish. But might need it for other activities. Looking to spend around 150 bucks. I really have no clue what to look for in one and a lot of advice would be great, as to what to look for in a GPS and exact name and brand recomendations would be great too. Thanks

I would suggest the Lowrance brand. I also think u would only want the fixed mount style. No way hand held cam compaire.

Lowrence Global Map 100, hand held and mountable in a RAM mount. I have a Marine 212 but they don't make them anymore, I don't believe, and were replaced by the Global Map 100. I like mine alot and use it for hunting as well! To give you an idea of how accurate they are -- After the Gov removed the SA interference, I marked a no-wake bouy at a marina on Lake Erie. When I came back my "arrival alarm" went off when the front of the boat actually hit the bouy, honest, my wife was with me!
