Just wondering if anyone has been fishing out here. I'm about a half hour away from the bay and would like to get out, but have no idea where to go. I live on the west side and from what I've heard in the past the best places to go are on the east. Well no matter where your catching them and even if your not post. It seems as though everyone is very tight lipped about this fishery. There are some defenite hogs out there and I have pictures to proove it from last summer, but very very very tricky to fish. Well just wondering if anyone is getting anything. Thanks for all the info.

The best I can tell you is either Vokes Reef in the southern part of the bay or Larsen's reef by Sand bay.

Do you know if they've been catching any near vokes or by two-mile reef? I can't go this weekend but the weekend of the 7-8 I can go. Also what would you reccomend, running and gunning with the jigging rod or throw a few tip ups in and jig another pole. Thanks for all the info. Hogslammer

If you are planning on fishing the Vokes Reef area you would be better off just setting out a couple tip-ups and using a jig pole. The reef is not overly large and as there are probably going to be a few other people out there areas to move around and jig will be somewhat limited. As far as the Two Mile Reef I have never fished it for anything other than perch in the summer and don't really know of anyone who does fish it for walleye. The water is pretty deep there and the reef is fairly small.

Check out a few spots near sister islands area if you have a chart map or a hot spots map, still lots of untapped water. Dunlaps can be hit and miss, monument shoal can be good as well if the ice breaker has not gone threw. South of Leroy's point, Stawberry islands, Horse shoe and sister shoals have produced this year! Good luck and alway take extra precaution out there, you'll need a 4 wheeler in most spots.

I've fished up in that area during the summer. I forget how far those area are out. I'd like to give horseshoe, strawberries, or monument a try. What depths seem to produce the best. Also what is the best presentation. Thanks for all the info. I'm going to try and get up next weekend. Hopefully we get a little warmer weather. Thanks for all the info.
