Camp Perry Walleyes II

Limited out for the second day in a row, four miles north of Camp Perry. Bite is great and does not take long to get your count. Limited on Sunday by myself in spite of being left stranded at the ramp by one of Calvert's crew, who was supposed to take me out. Met them at 6:10 A.M. where his trailer was full. No problem I thought, I'll wait and the driver told me he would return in about 20 minutes to take me out. Little over an hour later and no sign of this guy a friendly older fella offered me a ride out to the pack on his ATV. I offered him the other half of my shanty and eight nice walleyes later we were old pals. I thought he was going to fist fight me when I offered to pay him.... LOL. Anyway I will not go on about that guide, I'm sure he is pretty reputable among the locals, but I sure will not call them in the future. Went today again and met Ray at the rest stop for a repeat performance and our limits were caught even faster today. Take advantage of the weather and careful of that 1st crack from the ramp it was a good two feet wide in some spots but completely closed when we left.

Went out about 6 miles Northeast of Camp Perry Tues morning with two friends. Bite was tremendous at 24 feet, and all caught our limit in very little time. Crack just out from ramp is fluxating quite a bit, be careful.

Appreciate the report - may try to get out Friday of things hold up. I assume that the tradional jigging spoons have continued to produce?

Tom, the 3/4 OZ sweedish pimple in the; chartruse, light yellow or green prizm were the ticket. Could not go wrong with any of the three.

hey long spear i was on that trailer you are so lucky he never came back it was about 2 hours when he left us we caught 1 fish at 3.30 you are so lucky
