I heard they were still getting out of state park the other day. I was going to go yesterday but talked myself out of it. Now I heard the coast guard had to rescue 6 guys and there machines are still out there if thats true I think I dodged a bullet. Anybody heard anything on this?

Jimmy.
My Black Lake bud was going to come down and we were going to walk out Saturday. About 11 years ago on March 22nd, Him, His brothers and I (with neoprenes on) walked out from Ericson Road to 6 foot of water. We fell through twice, but caught fish after fish after 5:00pm from one massive school that turned the holes black with fish.
Our contact who lives at the end of Coggins road warned us against that this year. They had went out Wednesday on their 4 wheelers. And even though they caught some nice fish in 8 foot of water, they encountered many open water spots simialr to the ones we saw during the course of the winter. And with the water on the ice, these spots are like land mines. Now, given the wind factor, you did right>
