There are fish being caught at Marblehead. We got nothing trolling, a couple(12 & 8 #) and missed a couple drifting Vib-E's and Swedish Pimples but we should have anchored because the guys doing that appeared to do better. At least 1, 3 man limit that I know of. No ice to be seen!

E-Z Mark......What kind of water depths are you guys working at Marblehead. What did you have for water temps? Thinking about coming out this weekend. Did you make it out when the ice fishing was so hot? We were along side of you year befofe when you guys stuck those two Pigs....and then that jerk came blowing right over your trolling pass. Thanks.

Seagull,
We were working a small area of moving dirty water that the fish were stacked up in, the temp was 40-41 there and 36-37 in clean water. We tried trolling and drifting but it turned out that anchoring was the ticket Saturday and we ran out of time before trying that. I think we were working 24-30' depths but not sure. The water we fished was moving east about an 1/8-1/4 mile per pass and the fish were moving with it. Strange how that works sometimes.
My 4 wheelers been broke down for a couple of years so I didn't try any ice fishing this winter. Didn't fix it cause I figured the kids would just break it again and I didn't think the ice was going to last as long as it did.
Come join us for the Catawba WWA next Sunday. Sign up is Sunday morning @ 5:30 or 6AM. Should be an awesome catch by the guys that make the right decisions (never seems to be me on tourney days).
Good luck this weekend!
