Sorry buddy I have to laugh, I hope you weren't serious about you catching fish until the pros got them all...also about the Highway Patrol, myself working in law enforcement, if you arent doing anything wrong then why the worry?? I wont debate this with you.

I also spent 35 years in Law Enforcement, I know what I see, and I won't debate it with you either.

While understanding this is not fishing report related, I will respond in case this is not dusted. I can't debate it since I have Ohio plates. I will say Ohio State Patrol officers have been entirely professional in every encounter I've had with them & I used to get a fair number of speeding tickets throughout the state. Rarely cut me much slack, but that is not their job.

As a resident of Ohio, I am asking you to file a complaint if you were mistreated or pulled over w/o any legitimate reason. If there is a problem, we need your help to get it corrected. It is difficult for me to comprehend. There are enough real problems to keep them busy. Now, if this was about New Rome, Ohio cops...

PS: you couldn't have caught big eyes before the pros catch them all, because they caught them all last yr, no wait!, the ice fishermen caught them all this yr...:)

Darn! All the pros caught them all?? Glad you posted this so I didn't waste my time putting my boat in. Maybe I can get into the badmitten tour I have always dreamed of.

BTW.....found some fish that the pros left behind off the beach at Locust Point. Black jigs and minnows, 8 to 12' of water.

Man!!!!!, I thought Big Rivers Fan was just joking around and being sarcastic about the PWT pros catching all of the big fish. But, sure enough, there are always plenty of people on this message board just sitting around waiting to correct/insult or simply degrade their fellow fisherman.

I agree, the intention behind the fish remarks in the original post appeared to be sarcastic.

Sarcasm - 1. A cutting, often ironic remark intended to wound. 2. A form of wit that uses such remarks to make its victim the butt of contempt or ridicule. American Heritage College Dictionary.

Sarcasm is not friendly. Help me out here, why is responding to sarcasm with the same out of line? Should nice people tolerate this?

I feel I live in a great state. You are always welcome to come and enjoy the excellent fishing opportunities that proper management of the resources offer. IMO, legitimate CONSTRUCTIVE comments on how we can make your visit to Ohio more enjoyable are always welcome.

Just got back from Ohio also. I have had only one stop light ticket, that was 30 years ago and from an officer that had it out for me. I was pulled over by the Ohio State Patrol because I was driving a friends truck who had just lost his license a few days earlier. It was 4:00pm on a four lane deserted highway. Officer was checking to see if owner was driving after losing his license. I was accused of crossing the far right hand fog line twice. This was totally fabricated to give her the right to pull us over. I received a warning ticket and didn't say a word. I was in a no win situation. I know a few zealous individuals can tarnish the reputation of a good force but I have a very sour taste for the Ohio patrol officers at this time. My mother was in law enforcement for over 28 years and I have always respected law enforcement.

SS,

Give me a break!!!!! Who was Big Rivers Fan insulting when he was referring to the PWT Pro's? I fail to see how he hurt any one.

SS, maybe some people need to gain a sense of humor.

Now, I have been lured into the B.S. that happens on this site.......

In regards to the State Highway Patrol. Last week I had a few beers (5) with some people from work. On the way home, I reall had to go to the bathroom......you know how that can be. I was out in the country and it was really getting to me. My eyes were starting to turn yellow. Well, it was a 35 mph zone, and I was going a little to fast. The Highway Patrol pulled me over. Now this officer was very nice to me and listened to what I had to say. He even allowed me to relieve myself on the side of the road before I went back to the cruiser. He stated that I was doing 57 in a 35 mph zone. He seemed to understand my reason for wanting to get home (which by the way was only 1 1/2 miles away). In any event, he stated that I wasn't wearing a seat belt. I started to argue, then stopped when he explained to me that it was much cheaper for me and that I wouldn't get any points taken off of my license. So I agreed, that I wans't wearing a seat belt. So I got a ticket for no seat belt. Now this officer could have cited me for speeding and drinking if he had wanted to. So say what you want, I think these guys are great and they get my vote.

Fiftyseven in a 35...5 beers and the officer let you go? I would have busted you and thrown away the key. That officer should be busted himself. I'm sure if you would have hit and killed someone you would'nt be bragging about how great a officer he was. Stay off the road stupid.
