Jigging was slow Monday morning despite the nice weather. We netted two in about 6hr of fishing....... We fished the Crib-Flatrock reef area with propeller jigs and minnows. Most of the charters and head boats were within sight all day, and we didn't see more than a couple dozen fish netted. Water was real clean in spots, and like coffee in others.Only heard of one limit that came at daylight.Lots of tourney guys dragging plastic with some radio chatter of a few nice fish, wet nets.......and heavy coolers, DT

Fished three hours after work, 3 fish landed and two lost at the boat.
All fish came on 5/8 oz blue haired jig (one w/stinger) tipped with minnow. 12-14 ft of water, approx two and a half miles out ot of Turtle Creek-Fenwick. Water temp at 7:00 pm was 46.

Noticed two of the eyes had more than usual vertical perch like paterns, almost like a saugeye with out the spots on the dorsal fin. Verry clean white meat on all. Anyone else notice jacks like these?

Hey Alumacraftman,
Milfish here. I was down there, 4th thru the 7th, couldn't fish 'cause of the wind and waves. Hopeing to drive back on Tuesday the 22nd to fish Wed thru Sunday. I haven't heard much talk about pulling cranks yet. Have you had any luck trolling?

Milfish, neg results on pulling hardware for me (though I have been trying). All of our fish have come on jigs off of the reefs. I have got three new line counter rigs just waiting for me to hear them scream. Some of the guys have been pulling with some success though.

I am on leave that week you are coming up and will be on the Lake the majority of that time. I have some buds coming out from SD later that week through the weekend for some Erie fishing. We will be launching from either Turtle Creek or Catawba pending the bight and wind. They are big time trollers so that will be the prefered program. I will be listening for you on the Lake and share info.

We fished Saturday and Sunday on Locust, Flatrock and Crib reefs. Pulled 9 Walleye Saturday and 8 Sunday. Used 1/2 and 5/8 Blue hair jigs tipped with shiner and stinger hook. 9am - 12 was best time.

Pulled Reefrunners and Ripsticks Saturday afternoon through heavily marked water. Walleye were suspended 5-15 ft. Only hit was a tail snag, about an 6-8 pounder that courageously flipped and came off at the net which planted the planer board in my face (a real clown act).
