Minnesota has Big Winnie, Leech, LOTW, etc.. etc.

What are some of Wisconsins big walleye destinations? I know 100 lakes with walleyes in them, but don't know of any real 'good ones'...

Does anyone have any favorites they are interested in sharing? I'm talking about the northern 1/2 of the state....

Thanks,

John

Green Bay is still #1 as far as I'm concerned. #2St. Louis River from the Minnesota waters all the way out into the big lake and
Mississippi & Wisconsin Rivers would be next. Size and Numbers both. A person could catch a lifetime of Trophy fish on just those four waters or any one of them. For those of us spoiled by living and fishing often on the Mississippi or Wisconsin Rivers with a few exceptions every pool and flowage between dams is a fishery of a lifetime. The reason I said Green Bay Number one is because there are limits of 8+ plus caught there every year, and ST. Loius because at the right times of year it is posssible to catch 2-3 lb eyes nonstop from morning till your arms fall off with 2- 20lb. category fish caught there by locals,In the years that I have visited there. Green bay up near sturgeon bay is awsome in august. Monument shoals, hat island, etc.. are all good for walleye over 8 lbs. Little bay de noc is also very good, especially in the fall. Petenwell too holds a lot of nice walleye. good luck!!

#1 would have to be Lake Koshkanong and #2 is kind of a guarded secret by some...Mirror Lake in the Lake Delton area.

Thanks everybody! For those of you who haven't sounded off, what do you have to say?

(shameless plug to move this back to the top, that darn wives on a scale 1-10 is hard to compete with)

Next time you're up by hat island, head a little bit farther north and fish to the west of fish creek and east of chambers island, in between the chambers can and the rock hump south of the island.

or better yet- just forget i ever said anything :)

I know some secret spots. there real good! if you e-mail me i'll tell you about them! 1 is up nort near cable, wis some nice eyes and lots o'nice panfish!! you have to promise not to tell anybooby, i don't think they've ever been fished by anyone except me. its real quiet and peacful up there, except for the guy on nort end who likes to fire off his assault rifles etc. if your interested i'm heading up this weekend, will arrive approx. dawn on sat.(it's a 18hr.drive)and worth it- at dusk the crazy *** likes to fire off some kind of flares its real pretty although it sometimes shuts down the fishing. please contact me for new secret spots andrelationship.
