My fishing partner bought a new boat about a month ago with the 350 a on it. It worked great for 1 month here in ILL, We went to erie last weekend and after a half day of fishing the gps doesn't work anymore. Can anyone tell me if they have had this problem?

Hi Yukon,
I have had this problem twice. The first time it happened I checked all connections to the GPS module. After disconecting and reconecting all of them it worked fine. Then about two years ago it happened again. After repeating the above remedy I still had that annoying "module does not respond" message, well as you know I was a little irrate, so I tapped to top of the module with the handle of a screw driver and it has worked fine ever since. It worked for me. - Tom

I am on my third mod. in 4 yrs. My boat cover is made of a darker material which will absorb heat vs. reflecting it. Lowrance tells that these modules are senistive to high heat. So now I cover the module with a white towel before I cover the boat and I try to park it in the shade whenever possible. I have seen the infamous message "Module Not Resonding" many times.

Check the connections at the harness as well as the couplers at the GPS. I take a dab of dielectric grease and spread it accross all the holes of the female ends of these connections. To date I have had no problems with lost signals on my unit. Moisture can be an evil gremlin with pin contacts and corosion can effect your signal both at the GPS and the temp/speed/depth feeds.
You will see several places where the harnesses connects to the various sensors. Be sure to get them all. If you have a can of electronics cleaner, give the contacts a shot first and blow them dry with air. Should do the trick.

Try this and see if it works.

I had the same problem i think it was caused by the heat from sitting at the dealer on the blacktop in direct sunlite in july!! cant prove it, but anyway I contacted Lorance and they told me to try resetting the software you do this by pressing in and holding the clear button when you turn the unit on, you will loose all your settings and maybe your waypts youve saved but it should work. I lost all my setting and waypts from the sun so I had nothing to lose anyway!!! let me know if this helped

Guess Who???

Try to hit dan in the head with a screwdriver. Maybe that will help L.O.L.
