Perch fishing excellent at Vermilion before winds hit last weekend. Less than a mile north of the breakwall

Same thing last weekend before the winds came. 51 perch weighed 29 lbs live weight. 3/4 mile of the harbor.

guys what depth were you fishing?

Anywhere from 30-35 feet off of Vermilion. The fish finder marked fish on the bottom solid. Perch quit at 6 p.m. every night for some reason. Some of the biggest perch I have ever seen. Have caught a lot of nice smallies closer to shore in this area also, on twister tails. 19-24 inches in 17-20 ft. of water.
